FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- A teenage boy who severely beat a lady at a South Florida center college has been refused bond.
A judge shipped the news to 15-year-old teen Wayne Treacy Saturday in a brief videoconference hearing.
Authorities say Treacy punched and stomped on Ratley last month with steel-toed boots. The teenage victim recently regained consciousness but suffered extensive brain injury and can't speak.
Treacy's attorney says the teen plans to plead not guilty. He faces approximately existence in prison if convicted.
